NV Gold Progresses Follow Up Drilling at Afgan-Kobeh Gold Project

NV Gold is progressing a 2011 follow up drilling campaign at the Afgan-Kobeh gold project, which is situated in Eureka county, Nevada.

High River Alberta-based Drift Exploration Drilling conducted 2,500-3,000 m reverse circulation (RC) drilling, totaling 25-30 holes and the budget for this drilling is $300,000. It is anticipated that this drilling will continue till mid-August.

The focus of the program will be on the development of the NI 43-101 compliant gold resource, which was newly updated, and shows 66,000 oz of Indicated resource and 55,000 oz of Inferred resource. This Afgan-Kobeh project is a Carlin-type of gold deposit and it stays open to extend in many areas and these areas with additional distant targets, which are Afgan-Kobeh resource’s North and South part, are the focus of this ongoing drilling campaign.

The CEO and President of the company, has commented that the shallow oxide mineralization, infrastructure proximity accompanied by the existing gold value offers an exceptional potential to this project to perform an open pit, low price and heap leach gold operation. This drilling will be continued for the resource extension and upgrade.

The location of this Afgan-Kobeh project is in North-East Nevada, and 28 mi North-West of the Eureka town. This project covers 2,180 A including 109 unpatented claims. The prospective of the project is developed by its location, which is at the intersection of the Cortez trends and the Northern Nevada Rift that are located in between the formerly mined Gold Bar deposit and the currently producing Archimedes mine.
