Victoria Gold Corp. is to commence a drilling exploration program at the Mill Canyon Gold Project located in Nevada. The Mill Canyon Gold Project is right next to Barrick Gold's Cortez Hills and Pipeline gold mines. The exploratory program is to test one of several high quality targets on the 6,900 acre property.
The company is scheduling the exploratory program for October 2011. Mill Canyon is situated in north central Nevada approximately 280 km east northeast of the city of Reno and 100 km south west of the city of Elko. Victoria Gold Corp’s property is located at the south end of the Cortez Mountains. It consists of patented and unpatented mining claims over a 6,900 acre area on the north of the Battle Mountain Eureka mineral belt. This is one of the most prolific and prospective gold resource regions in the world.
The exploratory program is to test the mineralization extent in the historical drill hole at the Erwin target and other mineralized zones in the central part of the Mill Canyon Gold Project. The initial phase of drilling will consist of 6 to 10 holes covering 15,000 feet.
