Pro Minerals has announced the completion of a second exploration phase at its Cairo gold project, which is located near Matachewan in Ontario. A ground-breaking XDS VLF-EM aerial survey was done over 570 line-km during this exploration phase and has used the technology with flat gradient magnetics and high sensitivity.
Terraquest has performed the airborne survey in two directions, east-west and north-south, at 100 m intervals for offering a comprehensive data regarding the definite geological structures situated on the claim areas.
Several high-priority anomalies have been shown by the preliminary exploration results that will be in line with the available geological information as expected by the company. Pro has currently inferred all the survey results, which will create a basis for a proposed exploration campaign at the property.
In addition, the company has acquired four further claims, totaling 736 ha claims that signifies the Whiskyjack zone.
The location of the Cairo gold project is around 46 km to the western part of Kirkland Lake and 2,450 ha is the total area of the property.
