Balmoral Resources Announces Primary Drill Testing at Detour East Property

Balmoral Resources has reported that the crews are moving presently to commence the preliminary drill testing program at the gold exploration targets, which is present at the Detour east property in west-central Quebec.

The Sunday Lake deformation zone, whose length is 20 km, has covered the property and the zone has the Detour gold deposit in Abitibi, which is the main immature gold resource in Ontario.

The company has designed to conduct 1,200 to 1,500 m of diamond drilling at geological and geophysical targets that are situated along the Sunday Lake deformation zone close, to that which houses the Detour gold deposit and further targets, same as the Grasset gold, Martiniere west, Fenelon discoveries that are situated along the trend’s eastern part. The company is in the initial year of the option agreement with Radisson Mining Resources, wherein it can receive up to 60% interest in the property.

Currently, Balmoral has completed drilling and is waiting for the final results, of 23 holes that focuses the Martiniere west gold zone and eight drill holes on the Martiniere east region’s four targets comprising the ME VMS discovery. The company has drilled three holes at the Grasset property and is drilling the fourth hole.

The Detour gold trend project includes the Detour east, Grasset and Martiniere properties. The extension of this project is for more than 80 km along Detour or Sunday Lake deformation zone that has the Detour gold deposit. This project also contains the Fenelon zone, the Rambo and Lynx prospects, and Martiniere central, east and west zones on the fresh Grasset discovery and the Detour east property. The company seems to make the values of shareholders during discovery and resource extension, by utilizing current exploration models and technologies thoroughly to the Abitibi Greenstone Belt’s key gold trends.
