Colorado Resources has completed drilling at the Red Sky property, which is situated around 150 km to the southern part of the community of Redstone and to Williams Lake’s western part.
This property has the capacity of housing gold-copper porphyry style mineralization alike the Prosperity deposit of Taseko and the bulk mineralized gold alike Newton property of Amarc, which is situated about 30 km to the Red Sky’s southeast portion.
According to the exploration contract signed with Kinross Gold, the company has explored this property. Currently, it has satisfied the $500,000 expenditure needs in order to finish the 50-50 joint venture earn in. Rock chip and till sampling, drilling, induced polarization, magnetometer geophysical surveying and geological mapping are included in this work campaign.
The company conduced the drill program for analyzing a partly exposed, 600 x 1,000 m chargeability anomaly in a glacial overburden enclosed region. This anomaly matches with geochemical anomaly of gold, copper, silver, and zinc that were previously outlined through comprehensive till sampling program. The company drilled 628 m, totaling four holes. Geological study of the drill core has identified several intrusion stages into volcanic rocks that show different compositions and textures. Colorado has intersected all rocks by wide faults along with uneven accumulations of sulphides and related clay alteration.
