Gunpowder Gold has provided update on the results from one of the claim blocks located in the Dome Rock gold project, Arizona.
The company included outcrop chip and sediment sampling program in the work conducted at the BHR62 claim block. The geologists of the project gathered 22 sediment and 16 rock chip samples, in which all samples were sent for 34 element analysis by inductively-coupled plasma (ICP) and testing of gold by ICP finish and gold assay. Multiple samples contained anomalous gold and copper. Same geochemical proportions of gold to copper are present, as the assays were gathered from additional deposits located in the immediate region. The company has encountered encouraging results, including 17 ppb gold, 1,000 ppm copper and 3.5 ppm silver and strong signs of Ba. In addition, multiple samples showed hematite and copper staining that is connected with commercial mineralization previously identified in the Plomosa District, Arizona. This has included the Copperstone mine region of around 9 mi. towards the northern part of Quartzite.
Michael Nott, Gunpowder’s President, commented that this early phase of exploration is encouraging to discover potential gold and silver indicators on the claim block’s surface. The company is delighted with the obtained geochemical proportion that gives a sign, wherein the project has identical features to the district’s valuable mineral resources. These results will offer useful quantitative information to perform the subsequent exploration phase at the Dome Rock gold project.
