Tigray Releases Report on Four Diamond Drill Holes at Terakimti

Tigray Resources, a Canadian mineral exploration company has released the report on the diamond drill project at Terakimti. It is part of Tigray’s Harvest Project, a 70 % owned venture with Ethiopian company Ezana Mining Development and spans over six concessions in Ethiopia.

The released results pertain to drilling at four holes in the copper-gold prospect. A total diamond drilling of 12,100 m in 61 holes, each averaging a depth of 200 m has been completed. The drill results on TD014 highlighted 40.5 m of 1.19 g/t gold, 3.24% copper, 25 g/t silver as well as 1.19% zinc from 53.95 m down hole. Also, they indicated that there was 23.05 m of 1.59 g/t gold, 39 g/t silver, 5.17% copper as well as and 2.01% zinc from 57.45 m. The drill result for TD016 highlighted 17.75 m of 2.98% copper, 20 g/t silver and 1.61 g/t gold from 80.40 m.

The results take into account the infill drilling near TD004 which resulted in 73.8 m grading 3.8% copper, 14 g/t silver and 1.3 g/t gold, as announced in December 2011. It is estimated that Tigray will complete the first phase drill program of 13,000 m in a few weeks. The drilling result of TD010 was released last month as a partial intercept. Drill holes TD016, TD014, TD013 and TD012 were completed and provided up & down dip and step outs of 25-70 m.

The drill core samples were sent to the Acme Laboratories facility located in Ankara and were crushed at 80% passing 10 mesh and pulverized to 85% passing 200 mesh.

The planning and execution of the quality control programs is being supervised by the Jeff Heidema, the Vice President of Exploration at Tigray.
