Auriga Gold has announced that it has yielded high-grade gold from the results of primary drilling program conducted at the Nokomis deposit, which is located on the Maverick Gold project in Manitoba.
The company encountered 9.22 g/t gold over 7.63 m in hole A4-02, 12.27 g/t gold over 5.20 m in hole A4-03, 5.10 g/t gold over 6.43 m in hole A4-11 and 9.55 g/t gold over 5.55 m in hole A4-12. The location of the Nokomis deposit lies 7 km towards the northeast part of the Puffy lake deposit and 1,000 tpd on-site mill along with associated infrastructure.
According to Richard Sutcliffe, CEO and President of Auriga Gold, the company is delighted with the primary drilling results obtained from the Nokomis deposit. It has returned positive grades of gold and also broad mineralization intervals. Auriga has intersected all these intervals at a depth of 63 m or less. These intersections will be possibly allowed for an open pit mining program. Extensive intercepts are constantly encountered in the Nokomis deposit when compared to the nearby Puffy Lake deposit. This Nokomis deposit has shown the potential of the regional structure, containing gold mineralization, at the Flin Flon greenstone belt’s north edge.
Recently, Auriga Gold has announced the completion of a 19 hole program, totaling around 1,300 m, at the Nokomis deposit and is expecting additional assay results.
