Sienna Gold has reported the latest results from the holes drilled at Callanquitas located on the Igor project in Peru. The company drilled six holes, totaling 1548.85 m.
The company has encountered 251.1 g/t silver and 3.082 g/t gold over 17.6 m, 141.2 g/t silver and 1.317 g/t gold over 48.7 m in hole CA-12-27. The significant holes CA-12-22 and CA-12-25 are situated in the prominent Callanquitas Structure’s southern and northern limits.
The company yielded 48.6 g/t silver and 4.481 g/t gold over 2.8 m, 19.4 g/t silver and 0.895 g/t gold over 25.5 m in hole CA-12-22, 46.5 g/t silver and 3.007 g/t gold over 3.5 m, 21.0 g/t silver and 1.290 g/t gold over 10.4 m in hole CA-12-25.
Sienna Gold’s Director, Dr. Warren Pratt has stated that these latest drilling results are very important. The continuity of the Callanquitas Structure is seen over a strike of at least 900 m length. High-grade silver zone is hosted in the hole CA 12 27. This zone has been intersected for a depth of over 400 m at vertical intervals of 50 m. This high-grade zone may be possibly expanded through the step-out drill program conducted towards the north and south. In addition, the company will concentrate on the other possible high-grade mineralized zones present in the structure.
A man portable rig and a huge tracked rig are present on the drilling location. The company has drilled 6,700 m at Callanquitas, as a part of the present 10,000-12,000 m drill program and also drilled 3,000 m at Tesoros and Domo.
