Archean Star Resources has reported that it has encountered 42.8 g/t gold over 0.5 m in diamond drill hole TB008, which has been drilled recently at the Turnberry gold prospect.
This prospect is located at the Gnaweeda gold project that is around 35 km towards the northeast part of Meekatharra in West Australia.
Visible gold was found in the drill hole TB008 for about 270 m beneath the surface and around 230 m below the hole GNRC008, which returned 20.23 g/t gold over 1 m and 13.49 g/t gold over 5 m. The hole TB008 is situated around 100 m towards northern part of diamond drill hole TB003, including 8.27 g/t gold over 3 m, and the hole GNRC009, which cut 17.77 g/t gold over 4 m and 59.27 g/t gold over 1 m. The hole TB008 is located around 50 m towards north part of the hole TB006, which encountered many intersections of gold in an interval of 41 m. The hole TB008 encountered high-grade gold of 42.8 g/t gold over 0.5 m.
The company has found mineralized gold at different depths at the Turnberry prospect’s south portion, along a strike of around 150 m long. Mineralization is exposed at depth and along strike. Three different high-potential gold bearing zones are present in the Turnberry prospect that is 2.5 km long.
Archean Star has planned for diamond drill program at the Far East prospect, wherein strong connection exists between large gold anomalies and several intersections. The correlation is noticed in the zone’s northern part, wherein the anomaly widens from east to west and where stronger and more abundant gold anomalies are present.
