Waymar Resources has reported that it has received significant results from five more diamond holes drilled at the Anzá property in the Republic of Colombia. These diamond holes were drilled as part of an overall program specifically designed to determine and extend the high-grade gold mineralization present along the Aragón Fault.
According to Waymar’s CEO and President, Pablo Marcet, the high-grade gold zone intercepted in hole MAP-33 revealed continuity and superior grades from the mineralization intercepted in holes MAP-11, MAP-20 and MAP-24. The company has confirmed the actual continuity of the Anzá property’s high-grade zones and continues to extend the limits of the identified mineralized system.
Mineralization found at the property expands to at least 1,850 m along the Aragón Fault structure. The deposit stays exposed towards the southern and northern parts and also down-dip. Additional targets in the region outlined through geophysics, surface geochemistry, and geological mapping have not been tested yet.
The company has additionally drilled 1,525 m at the Anzá deposit, totaling 11,265 m of drilling since the program commencement during April 2011. The company is continuing the drill program at the property.
An aqua regia digestion having an Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) finish was utilized in the analytical procedures for zinc and silver. ALS Group Laboratories prepared all the core samples in Medellín, Colombia, and tested them in Lima, Perú.
