Pretium Resources (Pretivm) has announced the current drilling campaign results from its Brucejack high-grade gold project located in North British Columbia. Several assays grading more than 1,000 g/t gold are included in the present results which expand the gold mineralization zone by 100 m in the Valley of the Kings towards east.
The company has encountered 1,751 g/t gold over 1.19 m and 1,668 g/t gold over 0.85 m in hole SU-493; 1,425 g/t gold over 0.50 m in hole SU-468; 1,350 g/t gold over 0.50 m in hole SU-490; 30.1 g/t gold and 1,760 g/t silver over 0.60 m in step-out hole SU-496; and 3,874 g/t gold over 0.50 m and 1,034 g/t gold over 1.88 m in hole SU-498.
The high-grade gold intercept from hole SU-468 was specifically intersected 11.5 m towards southeast and 36.0 m beneath the bonanza-grade intercept from hole SU-452, including 41,582 g/t gold over 0.50 m. Assay results of more than 1,000 g/t gold include SU-498, a formerly reported hole, which is also a step-out hole drilled 60 m towards the western part of the Brucejack Fault.
Currently, the Valley of the Kings is expanding more than 700 m and is exposed at depth and towards the eastern and western parts. The company is mobilizing nine drill rigs at the Brucejack project and continues to target definition drill program and tests expansions of the Valley of the Kings.
The company will announce the assay results of the completed drill program, once they are obtained over the period of the 2012 drill season.
