Petaquilla Announces Completion of Resource and Reserve Estimate for Botija Abajo Deposit

Petaquilla Minerals is pleased to announce that a reserve and resource estimate has been completed for the Botija Abajo Deposit related to its Molejon gold operations by Behre Dolbear & Company (USA).

A complete report compliant to National Instrument 43-101 will be done on the Botija Abajo mineral resource and reserve estimate that will be filed shortly on the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR).

Part of the company’s policy of continuous upgradation of its resource base that will include in the fiscal year 2013 an additional upgrade of the existing reserves of Molejon includes completing the Botija Abajo resource. In the present fiscal year 2013, further resource reports will be completed for company’s Oro del Norte and Palmilla deposits in Panama as also a reserve report for Lomero-Poyatos in Spain. The company is also striving towards finishing a feasibility study on Lomero-Poyatos visualizing to initiate processing operations in Spain by the middle of 2014.

By pursuing this strategy that involves moving from a single deposit or single jurisdiction operation to a multi-deposit or multi-jurisdiction operation, the company will reach mid-tier producing status by 2014 end, in that way creating and adding value for ist shareholders.

Petaquilla is a diversified, growing, dedicated to increasing shareholder value by following strategies of targeted exploration, efficient production and select acquisitions. A surface gold processing plant is operated by the company at its Molejon Gold Project situated in the south central areas of its completely owned 842 km2 Panama concession lands.
