Lupaka Gold Releases Assay Results from Crucero Gold Project

Lupaka Gold has obtained assay results from the initial five holes drilled since the beginning of the 2012 campaign at the company’s Crucero gold project based in Southeast Peru.

The new outline of the A-1 mineralized envelope, along with the drill hole locations and projected to surface

The company has encountered high-grade gold over continuous thickness in holes DDH-54 and DDH-56, including 7.29 g/t gold over 18 m, and 1.39 g/t gold over 124 m in south of the mineralized envelope in hole DDH-19. The results have validated that the A-1 Zone is continuously exposed towards the northern part at depth and along strike.

Additionally, Lupaka has started the exploration drill program at the Chaska zone, which is also called as the A-3, A-4, A-5 zones, and lies about 2 km towards the eastern part of the A-1 resource zone in an extensive geophysical and geochemical anomaly areas.

According to Lupaka Gold’s CEO and President, Eric Edwards, DDH-54 and DDH-56 hole results are compelling, as the company has not discovered such high grades over these types of considerable thickness in any of the earlier historical drill program. He added that the company drilled the hole DDH-19 to 480 m depth and identified several segments of strong mineralization in the hole. The results from the new drill program indicate that high-grade breccias and veins may be present through the Crucero mineralized envelope in the A-1 Zone deposit.

The company drilled DDH-53 down dip from hole DDH-54 and mineralization was intersected as minor segments. Two diamond drilling rigs are currently operating on the A-1 zone in order to expand the resource. A third diamond drill rig is also operating at the Chaska zone. So far, the performance of the drill program has been better than originally planned. The company is intending to conduct 8,000 m of diamond core drill program for this year’s campaign.
