Victoria Gold Releases New Drill Hole Results from Eagle Gold Deposit

Victoria Gold has announced the results of new holes drilled at the Eagle Gold projects, located in Canada. The project lies about 80 km from Mayo town in Central Yukon.

Eagle Project Drilling Program Plan Map

The company continues to encounter several broad high-grade intercepts from the new drill hole results obtained from the Eagle gold deposit. The grade of these intercepts is higher when compared to the Eagle gold resource and reserve. These drill holes were specifically targeted to enhance the deposit’s knowledge base, giving special importance to adding resources and expanding the deposit’s estimated grade.

The company’s additional objectives are to categorize the grade blocks again from Inferred to Indicated resource and to improve the understanding of oxidation controls and distribution, and alteration.

According to Victoria Gold’s CEO and President, Mr. John McConnell, the company was successful in conducting the drilling campaign at the Eagle property. Broad zones were targeted in and contiguous to the open-pit limits at the project with the capability to generate near surface, high-grade in the mine life. This work will help optimize the mine planning to increase cash flows during production in the preliminary years.

The Eagle gold deposit may potentially become the next operating gold mine in Yukon. It also includes 2.3 Moz gold of probable reserves from 92 Mt of ore.

The deposit contains sub-parallel extensional quartz veins, which are developed in the granodiorite located near the footwall and hangingwall intrusive-metasediment contacts.
Additionally, the veins are expanded in embayments and thin sections of the stock. Mineralization exists in the form of elemental gold, as separate grains and related to arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite and pyrite.
