Kaminak Gold has recently declared the outcome for 24 diamond core drill holes and 39 reverse circulation drill holes from the Yukon Territory’s Coffee Gold Project.
Three gold trends with T3 and T5 zones at Supremo and the adjacent Double Double zone determined the assays. This current program links the near-surface and well oxidized gold zones extending the trend, followed by drill testing of further gold-in-soil anomalies.
In Double Double Zone, known gold trend was extended through an additional 100 m by the first four holes drilled in 2012 with total strike length measuring 300 m. It resulted in 36.3 g/t gold over 3.5 m from 51.5 m core length; 5.8 g/t gold over 8 m from 79 m, and 16.5 g/t gold over 4.5 m from 71m. Every zone remains exposed to depth and along trend. Moreover, 13 additional holes are pending / planned along this 600 m-long gold-in-soil anomaly.
In Supremo T4-5 Zone, drilling in early 2012 discovered a new near-surface gold trend extending 50 m. Additional drilling stretches the trend at 600 m long. It resulted in 4.3 g/t gold over 13.7 m from surface; 13.1 g/t gold over 6.1 m from 119 m; 3.9 g/t gold over 13.7 m from 154 m; 3.0 g/t gold over 12.2 m from 169 m and 5.6 g/t gold over 9.1m from 172 m.
In Supremo T3 Zone, drilling extended trace of gold zone to 300m; overall strike length of T3 zone is currently 1000 m. It resulted in 2.6 g/t gold over 32 m from 102 m depth; 10 g/t gold over 4 m from 145 m depth; 19.1 g/t gold over 6 m from 164 m; 6.7 g/t gold over 5 m from 70 m depth and 16.5 g/t gold over 2 m from 67 m depth.
Four drills are being conducted on the Coffee property and a fifth is scheduled for early July. This fully funded exploration program has achieved over 20,000 m of drilling since March.
Kaminak is working to achieve its objective in 2012 that includes 50,000 m of drilling on budget. Three drills including two diamond and one reverse circulation are active at Supremo, while Double Double will host a fourth drill (diamond). Drilling of the Sugar trend is likely to begin by third week of June.
