Consolidated Goldfields has reported additional assay results from its Cahuilla gold-silver project located in California. The company continued the drill program along the Modoc fault zone and 200 m towards the southeastern part in the precious metal deposit’s south-central region.
The company intersected mineralized gold with extensive thickness in holes CAH-188 and CAH-189 and the favorable results enabled the extension of the deposit size. The hole CAH-188 was specifically drilled along the northwestern boundary of the south-central mineralized region and indicates that mineralization remains exposed towards the western and northern part. The angle hole, CAH-189 is specifically drilled in a southwestern direction along the Modoc fault zone, which lies adjacent to the holes CAH-186 and 187.
The company encountered an extensive shallow gold mineralization zone, showing that mineralization is exposed towards the western, southwestern and southern parts of the hole CAH-189. Further drill holes lie in the two regions.
Nevada-based Inspectorate Laboratory carried out the assaying program for the reverse circulation samples. The company’s project geologist, Mr.Paul Stubble collected drill samples packed in sample bags and sent them to the lab for testing.
The Cahuilla Project is a huge paleo-hot springs and epithermal system that hosts several high-grade veins, which exist inside a wide dispersed gold-silver mineralization body.
