Auriga Gold has completed an aerial versatile time domain electro magnetic (VTEM) and magnetic survey at the Maverick gold project in Manitoba. The survey was conducted over+ the complete 66 km2 area of the project. Ontario-based completed the 886 line-km survey.
The VTEM survey’s initial results have discovered several important and formerly untested conductive anomalies present along the regional mineralization structure, which contains the Nokomis and Puffy Lake deposits. These discovered anomalies show similar dimensional features and geophysical response to the anomalies, related to the Nokomis and Puffy Lake deposits.
The CEO and President of Auriga Gold, Richard Sutcliffe stated that the EM results obtained from this airborne survey are positive, as those results outline many new anomalies, showing similar features to the results obtained at the popular gold mineralization area at Nokomis and Puffy Lake deposits. These results allow the company to define the priority drill target areas located on the definite magnetic trend, which features the Flin Flon Greenstone belt’s north border. This greenstone belt is a regional structure, which hosts several gold occurrences and deposits, he added.
The company’s geophysical consultant is reviewing the results from the VTEM survey. The prospecting and geological program will utilize the analysis as its basis in late May, and a drilling program will be conducted to examine the priority targets.
